What A Year We Have Had!
Congratulations Grants Pass AAUW members – we are the LARGEST branch in the state of Oregon, with 138 members. Thank you all for your recruitment efforts and especially the Membership Team (Connie Johnson, Angie Bifano-Sokol and Velma Woods) and Dues Treasurer, Sylvia Rose. Our number one goal for the 2012 -2013 AAUW year was “to attract, retain and nurture our membership.” Kudos to you all!
Our year has been filled with great programs, festive get-togethers, good food and rewarding service to our community. The Frog O’Faire Children’s Festival was enjoyed by the youngsters of Grants Pass. The successful Kitchen Tour provided much needed scholarship monies for RCC and our national Funds. Girl’s Rock! helped to strengthen our alliance with Zonta and Soroptimist while enabling 100+ middle school girls to get a taste of those all-important STEM activities.
The Executive Team appreciates the support you have given us this year. Could next year be even better? Let’s work together to make it so!
Susanne Harmony, Georgia Applegate and Nancy Lester
