Local Events
Frog O’Faire Children’s Festival
This event, which began in 1972, is a community service project of AAUW. It provides a day of free educational enrichment activities and entertainment for children of Josephine County.
Girls Rock!
Girls Rock! provides a fun-filled event for girls ages 9-13, who with their parents participate in activities that encourage discussions about issues unique to this age group.
Kitchen Tour
This annual fall tour of local homes is our main fundraiser and typically raises in excess of $10,000 for scholarships.
National and State Events
AAUW National Convention
The American Association of University Women (AAUW) holds a three day national convention every two years in various locations throughout the United States. The convention gives members an opportunity to feel the power and energy of the nationwide AAUW community. More than 1,000 members come to be inspired by nationally recognized speakers, learn new leadership skills and AAUW best practices, and engage with other AAUW members from across the country. The next AAUW National Convention will be June 9-12, 2013, in New Orleans.
AAUW of Oregon State Convention
AAUW of Oregon is hosting its next state convention in Pendleton, Oregon April 19-22, 2012. State conventions are a time for members throughout the state to come together to be energized by the camaraderie among AAUW members, expand their leadership skills and have an opportunity to learn what exciting and interesting things other branches are doing throughout Oregon.
